Neklyudov theoretically grounded and experimentally proved the principally new method of creating a self-organizing state in metals and alloys called programmed strengthening, offered a new opportunity of producing radiation-resistant steels and alloys with inexhaustible centers of recombination of dot defects when exposed to radiation, discovers the phenomenon of anomalous recombination of dissimilar radiation defects in solid solutions that decay when exposed to radiation.

Neklyudov is the author of more than 800 scientific publications, including 17 individual monographs. His scientific developments are protected by 50 individual certificates and patents.

For a long time, Neklyudov was the Deputy Head of the Industrial Coordination Scientific and Technical Board on Physics of Radiative Damage, Head of the Constructions and Equipment of Atomic Energy Section of the Scientific, Technical and Expert Board under the Office of the President of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine on resource and safety when operating on constructions, equipment, and machines.
