Biography
Shulga’s scientific interests cover quantum electrodynamics, physics of high energies and nuclear physics. He has developed the theory of coherent interaction of parts of high energy with crystals, come up with a number of nuclear and physical methods to study motion mechanisms of parts in crystals. He has predicted the effect of deviation and splitting of beams of high-energy particles owing to their multiple scattering by atomic chains in crystals (the so-called Grinenko-Shulga condition), the phenomenon of dynamic chaos in the movement of fast particles in crystals, the effect of suppression of ultrahigh energy electron remsstrahlung in a thin layer of substance (Ternovsky-Shulga-Fomin effect). He has come up with a number of nuclear physics methods of studying the mechanisms of particle movement in crystals, supervised the shaping of physics of coherent processes with high-energy particles interacting with crystal and amorphous media.
Shulga is the author of more than 300 scientific works, including five monographs.
