In V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University the meeting of the Academic Council of the University was held. At the beginning of the event, the Honorary Award of the Kharkiv Regional Council "Slobozhanska Glory" for many years of diligent work, high professionalism, a significant personal contribution to the development of education and science, the training of highly skilled personnel and on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the birth and the "Medal of V.N. Karazin" was given to the Head of the Personnel Department of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, doctor of pedagogical sciences Sergey Nikolaevich Kulish. The thanks of the Kharkiv Regional Council was given to the vice-rector of the scientific and pedagogical work, PhD in Chemistry, Associate Professor Anton Vitaliyovych Panteleimonov. The diploma of the regional competition "Higher school of the Kharkiv region - the best names" was given to Doctor of Physics and Mathematics, Professor, Dean of the School of Physics and Technology Igor Olexandrovych Girka for the victory in the nomination "Dean of the Faculty". The honorary titles of the Honored Professor of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University was given to the Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor Ruslan Volodymyrovych Vovk and Dean of theSchool of Philosophy, Doctor of Philosophy, Professor Ivan Vasilievich Karpenko.

Rector Vil Savbanovich Bakirov reported about the state of implementation of the Program of Development of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University for the years 2010-2020. The report noted that the main goal of the University's development is to uncover the research potential, maximally approximate the main characteristics of the world-class university and create the preconditions for entry to the 500 best universities of the world according to recognized university rankings. The Council approved the Strategy for the Development of Karazin University for 2019-2025, which envisages the creation of projects for the implementation of a strategic vision.

According to the decision of the Council the award of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University "For the service of Karazin University" was established.

Igor Viktorovich Beloziorov reported about the establishment of the University Clinic of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University. Valentyna Grygorivna Panchenko delivered a report on the approval of the Regulation on the procedure for conducting preliminary examination and defense of dissertations in the specialized academic councils of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University.

The council has reached the decision to create a unitary enterprise in the form of a limited liability company "KarazinPromo".

Olexander Ivanovych Davydov was elected the chairman of the commission on budgetary, financial, socio-economic and economic work.

The Academic Council approved the decision to award the academic rank of associate professor at the department of ultrahigh-frequency physics at the School of Radiophysics, Biomedical Electronics and Computer Systems to Mstislav Yevgenovych Caliberdi.

The Academic Council also reviewed personnel and current affairs, with documents approved at the meeting being available soon on the website of the Academic Council of the University.
