Biography

In 1971-1973, Richter was an academic advisor and full professor at Ruhr University Bochum. His main scientific interests cover nuclear and atomic physics, theoretical physics, physics of weak interactions, physics of leptons, astrophysics and chaos studies. In his laboratory he created one of the first in the world superconducting electron accelerators S-DALINAC, a free-electron laser and other unique plants.

Richter is the author of about 400 publications in different (including international) editions. He is the Head of the ISOLDE Committee in CERN and the ICT Board in Trento (Italy).
