On November 28, 2016, the Academic Board of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University held a regular meeting with the participation of the University Administration, deans, directors of centers and institutes, faculty and staff, and student self-government representatives.

At the beginning, the participants approved the decision to award scientific titles to the University researchers, and to elect the faculty members of a number of  Departments to positions.

The Vice-President for Research, Victor Katrych, reported on the work accomplished in 2013-2016, with special emphasis on organization of research work, scientific and technological activities. He focused on the increased number of theses defended, publications in the scientometric Scopus database, mentioned the work done in upgrading of the scientific equipment, and the promising cooperation established during these years, including the State Concern “Ukroboronprom” and the Innovation Regional Aerospace Cluster “Mekhatronika”. The speaker told in detail about the University scientists’ participation in the “Horizon 2020” program and the international research projects.

Summing up his report, the Vice-President pointed out that the work aimed at furthering the University's image recognized by the world scientific community as the country’s leading university, and a strong educational and research center.

The Vice-President Yurii Kholin spoke about a draft decision to amend the provisions on the educational process organization, in particular, in terms of developing and facilitating cooperation in registration and signing of documents; implementing the electronic document circulation; organizing the work with foreign students. By the voting results, the draft resolution was approved.
