The State of Information Support of University’s Web Resources Discussed

Karazin University Academic Board has held its meeting with the participation of its President, Vice-Presidents, deans, headsd of research institutes and structural subdivisions, and student self-government representatives.

The Director of the Center for Web Communications, Mykola Khudolii, delivered a report on the state of information support of the University’s web resources.

"Today, the University has more than 100 websites covering its activity and providing information support during the Entrance Campaign, as well as in the academic, educational and scientific processes. The most influential tools in working with the target audience are universitywide web resources such as the University’s website, the Academic Board’s website and the “Admissions” website," stressed the speaker.

Mr. Khudolii also acquainted those present with the current state of the web presentation development program implementation for the University’s educational and scientific work. In particular, he outlined the operation and content specifics of the “Admissions” website, the periodicals website, etc.

Following the discussion, the Academic Board decided to conduct additional monitoring of the information quality provided on the websites of the University structural subdivisions.

The Director of the Central Scientific Library, Iryna Zhuravlova, reported on the state and development prospects of the University’s Electronic Archives stressing the importance of the electronic repository for a wide representation of the University's scientific achievements to the world academic community.

Moreover, the Board approved the procedure for the allocation of funds designated for granting financial assistance and incentives to undergraduate and postgraduate students of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University.
