The Academic Board of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University has convened its regular meeting, with the President, Vice-Presidents, deans, directors of its research institutes and subdivisions, and student self-government representatives participating.
At the beginning, the Academic Board awarded the Diplomas of Merit of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to the Professor of the Department of Physical Geography and Cartography Ihor Chervanev and the Head of the Department of Constitutional, Municipal and International Law, Associate Professor, Mark Voronov. In addition, the Director of the Center for Contemporary Art YermilovCenter, Nataliia Ivanova, was presented with a congratulatory address on the occasion of her anniversary.
After the discussion, those present approved the plan of work of the University Academic Board for the 2017/2018 academic year.
The Executive Secretary of the Admissions Committee, Olha Anoshchenko, acquainted those present with the preliminary results of the admissions campaign, who, among other things, pointed out that Karazin University had strengthened its positions in the ranking of Ukrainian universities by the number of applications submitted, compared to the previous year. The University ranks eighth, with 20,500 applications submitted for BS full-time programs.
The University Academic Board approved the appointments of the departments' faculty and adopted a number of normative documents on the organization of the educational process.
