Approved Quality Instructions and Procedure for conducting internal audits of the Quality Management System and implementation of corrective preventive actions

Karazin University has held a meeting of the Academic Board. Besides the regular members, the participants of the meeting were the People’s Artist of Ukraine, Head of Kharkiv Regional Organization of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, member of the Board of Overseers of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, Viktor Kovtun, the art expert Olha Denysenko.

The meeting began with the awarding of titles: Commendation of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine — to the Director of the Educational Center LandauCenter, Viktoriia Kruhlova, Honorary Diploma — to its employees for considerable contribution to the development of the interactive science center at the University, the popularization of scientific achievements, the organization of events of intellectual entertainment for Kharkivites and guests of the city.

The University Vice-President Viktor Katrych handed over the decoration “Leader of Ukrainian Science 2016. Web of Science Award” V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University won in the nomination “Productivity, Efficiency and Integration in World Science” as a university with the largest number of papers published in international scientific cooperation.

Within the framework of the event, in her report “Family of the Zarubins in Kharkiv: Dedicated to the 150th Birth Anniversary of Viktor Zarubin”, Ms. Denysenko acquainted those present with the creative development and the key milestones of the biography of the alumnus of the School of Physics and Mathematics of Kharkiv University, artist, Viktor Zarubin.

The University Vice-President Zarif Nazyrov reported on the results of international students’ enrollment and the organization of their study, “Today, Karazin University provides training for 4,353 international students, who mainly come from India, Nigeria, and Israel, and most of whom are students of the School of Medicine, the School of International Economic Relations and Travel Business, the School of Economics, the School of Law, and the School of Foreign Languages”.

The participants of the meeting addressed the current state, conditions and prospects of entering the University's periodicals in the Scopus and Web of Science scientometric bases as part of the discussion of the Vice-President Viktor Katrych’s report “On Work on Enlisting Periodical Publications in International Scientometric Bases”.

The Board approved the Quality Instructions and the Procedure for conducting internal audits of the Quality Management System and implementation of corrective preventive actions.
