Karazin University has held a meeting of the University Academic Board. The participants were the University Administration, deans of the Schools, faculty, and representatives of the University student self-government.

The meeting began with the awarding of titles: Vasyl Karazin Medal — to the Dean of the School of Geology, Geography, Recreation and Tourism, Vilina Peresadko, Merited Professor of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University — to the Head of the Department of Historiography, Source Studies and Archeology of the School of History, Serhii Posokhov, the Associate Dean of the School of Sociology, Larysa Khyzhniak, Doctor Honoris Causa of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University — to the Head of the Department of Crystal Physics, Borys Hrynov. Moreover, honorary diplomas were awarded to the employees of the Maintenance Unit of Karazin University.

Vice-President Anatolii Udod made a report on approving the University budget for 2016, and focused on increasing the planned amount of expenses on purchasing training equipment, devices of long-term use, repair and reconstruction of the University premises.

Vice-President Viktor Katrych got acquainted those present with the results of the research work for 2015, particularly emphasizing the scientific achievments of the University’s scientists.
