On Faculty's Evaluation Results and Academic Mobility Program Realization

Karazin University has held a meeting of the University Academic Board. It focused on the results of faculty evaluation by their performance in the 2014/2015 academic year, and the academic mobility programs realized at the University. The Board elected professors and associate professors, and awarded academic titles to faculty members of the University.

Karazin University Vice-President Yurii Kholin acquainted those present with the specificity of faculty evaluation at the University, “The evaluation relies on faculty rankings based on their academic (conducting of classes, supervision of diploma papers, etc.), scientific, methodological and organizational, including character-building, activities. Nearly 1,900 full-time and part-time faculty members have been evaluated by the results of the 2014/2015 academic year. This gave us an opportunity to analyze our strengths and weaknesses, encourage the professional activity of faculty, and draw their attention to seeking out solutions to the problems relevant for the University.”

Karazin University Vice-President Zarif Nazyrov outlined the prospects of implementation of academic mobility programs, the University's international activity, in particular, cooperation with foreign higher educational institutions of Italy, Turkey, Germany, and other countries, as well as the opportunities for participation in different international projects.
