Tereschenko’s scientific interests in plasma physics and controlled thermonuclear synthesis cover microwave frequency equipment and devices, microwave frequency radio measurement, interaction between microwave frequency radiation and passive and active media, particularly chemical and medical-biological objects. Together with other scientists he works out the fundamentals of the theory of collective oscillations in plasma.
Tereschenko is the author of more than 400 scientific works, 25 individual certifications, three patents; the Editor-in-Chief of the Interdepartmental Republican Scientific and Technical Compendium Radiotechnics (since 1974). In 1976-1982 he is a member of the Organizing Committee of the European Microwave Conferences, a representative of the USSR there.
